Build ships to expand your empire or fight the enemy
Building starbases around planets is the key to ship production. Ships consist of components like hull, propulsion and weapons that are built separately. This way each ship can be tailored to the needs of the empire.

There are many different ship classes like scouts, freighters or carriers. Many ships have special abilities like jump engines or cloaking fields that can turn the tide in battles or aid in exploration.

Factions
Choose one of 8 distinct factions that each have their own back story, ship classes and special abilities. Details for all factions and game mechanics can be found in the Manual section. Here is a showcase of 4 of the factions:
The conglomerate is a militarily organised association of all dominating worlds of the Orion sector. Its goal is the shared exploitation of new biological and geological resources.
The subjagation of resource rich worlds is always carried out the same way: They are observed extensively until an opportunity is found to develop a viral substance (biological or nano-based) that only exterminates the intelligent species of a planet while preserving the planets surface, making the subsequent colonization of conglomerate species possible.

This ship is able to appear as a different faction on long range scanners.

Instead of using planetary bombardments this ship can dive into the atmosphere of a planet and release special biological substances that eliminates between 45% and 100% of the population.
Nobody knows what they are. When they arrive in swarms they leave behind destroyed solar systems and civilisations. Even a single ship can wreck devastation. To this day it is unclear if they are ships or actual living organisms since no one survives direct contact.

Subspace distortion
A collapsing sub space distortion of level 6 sends a shock wave into space that severely damages ships and can destroy space folds in a radius of 83 light-years. This ship will also be destroyed by it. This is triggered at the beginning of a round, before any ship movement occurs.

Enemy long range sensors are unable to detect this ship. The generator consumes 1 KT Rennurbin per round and works 90% of the time.
The Trodan were exiled from their original home planet due to a failed revolte against a religious regime. In the newly found home religion or any other forms of spirituality was supressed, enabling the rise of a strong military doctrin instead. Huge amounts of resources were invested into science and the construction of war ships. This lead to the construction of cloaked ships that facilitated the rise of the Trodan empire which soon surpassed the one of their original home.

The astro-phyiscs lab enhances the efficiency of this ships scanners to 116 light-years.
For millions of years Kuatoh was able to develop undisturbed until the day the others came. They were not One like Kuatoh, they were each their own. They measured and analysed Kuatoh and concluded that Kuatoh is suitable to accept their own expanding life. They were very satisfied.
Then other members of the others came; they also were each their own. Kuatoh did not understand but war broke out. Kuatoh burned and suffered.
Near defeat Kuatoh rose up as One against those that were each their own. After defeating them Kuatoh saw that the others were not the only ones that were each their own. There were many, each their own, and all of them waged war with each other. Life that was each their own had to be wrong.
Thanks to the remains of the others Kuatoh quickly learned to lift parts of itself to heal the wrongs of the galaxy.

When activating the jump engine this ship performs a hyper space jump of 300-600 light-years in the direction of the target. 87 KT Lemin will be consumed.
